This option is designed for users with progressive conditions who
become unable to continue using the keyboard on an SL35 or SL38.
It plugs into the keyboard Lightwriter to allow scanning with 1 or 2 switches.
The
Scan Module has high intensity backlit displays to cater for vision
impairment, and also has a text display to show the sentence being
spelled, so the Scan Module is fully self-contained and can be mounted
on a wheelchair tray, or over a bed away from the Lightwriter itself.
Ideal for intubated patients in Intensive Care.
