Alex

Alex who is a fully able, active ten year old boy has an undiagnosed disorder which prevents the use of speech. He has spent many years trying out different ways to communicate with his family, and his friends in the playground but until he started to use the Lightwriter^® SL40 only a few people could understand his use of signing. In particular the communication between Alex and some members of his family was hampered by this difficulty. Now with the SL40, he can type exactly what he wants to say clearly and efficiently. His Mum says: “This means that Alex is able to use the SL40 in the playground and when he is out and about. It really has changed his life and that of us as a family”.
